1. How long do the soaps last, and how should I store them? Because we make true, cold-process soap without synthetic chemical hardeners, our bars need a little extra care. A standard bar will last 3 to 4 weeks with daily use if kept properly drained.

  • The Golden Rule: Never leave your soap sitting in a puddle of water. Use a slotted soap dish so the bar can dry completely between uses.

 

2. Can I use the Zen Clarity bar on my face? Yes, but with intention! Zen Clarity is a heavy-hitting detox bar packed with Activated Charcoal and Coconut Oil.

  • If you have oily or acne-prone skin: You can use it as a daily face wash to control shine and keep pores clear.
  • If you have dry or sensitive skin: We recommend using it 1–2 times a week as a "Flash Mask." Lather it on, leave it for 30 seconds to pull out impurities, rinse, and immediately follow up with our Golden Hour lotion bar to lock in moisture.

 

3. The Straight Edge shaving bar doesn't make a huge, fluffy foam. Is it broken? Not at all—that is completely by design! Commercial shaving foams use artificial air to fake volume. Straight Edge uses Bentonite Clay and Stearic Acid to build a dense, yogurt-like microscopic shield between your skin and the blade. You aren't looking for bubbles; you are looking for slip. Swirl a wet brush or your hands over the puck for 45 seconds to build the cream, and let the razor glide.

 

4. How do I use the Golden Hour solid lotion bar? The secret to the Golden Hour bar is the Damp Skin Rule. Because this bar is 100% pure Cocoa Butter and Beeswax with absolutely zero water fillers, it is designed to trap your shower water into your skin. Turn off the shower, lightly squeeze excess water off your body, and glide the bar directly onto your warm, damp skin. Massage it in and pat dry.

 

5. When will my order ship? Every Teetotaler Essentials product is hand-poured and packaged in small batches right here in Greensboro, NC. We process and ship all orders within 3 to 5 business days. Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow its journey to your door.

 

6. Do you accept returns? Because our products are personal care items, we cannot accept returns or exchanges of opened or used products for sanitary reasons. However, your holistic experience is our top priority. If there is an issue with your order, or if your products arrive damaged, please email us within 7 days of receiving your package and we will make it right!
